Tali Galaw, established in 1995, is the first and only Filipino marionette group conducting regular performances to promote and professionalize the art of marionette puppetry in the country. Its plays promote Philippine history, culture, folktale, environmental protection and good moral values.
The group performs in different schools and museums in Metro Manila. Offering a high quality theater to everyone, especially those in places and people who rarely have opportunities to see live performances is one of the groups concern.
For several years, Tali Galaw produces hundreds of marionette puppets with Filipino heroes as characters and selling these products in support to the 100 Centennial Celebration of the Philippines. Its mission is to promote the marionette puppetry all over the country and Filipino culture abroad.
A Delegate of the Philippines to the First ASEAN Puppetry Festival held in Jakarta, Indonesia last December 2006 and a participant to the First International Marionette Festival in Hanoi, Vietnam last February 2008.
Tali Galaw Marionette Theater is a member and was the lead organization of the Puppeteers Association of the Philippines.
